Best of the Best Projected Image 2022-23: Alisha by Andy Wright

We had a fantastic 2022-23 season and were delighted to see so many new members joining us and look forward to seeing them for the 23-24 season. Members enjoyed a full programme of talks, practical photography sessions, competitions, and members evenings and photo walks.

The Committee has worked hard behind the scenes to produce another excellent programme for the new season.

As with each season, the main Monday evening programme includes talks, demonstrations, competitions, tutorials and member’s evenings.

New for 2023-24 we're including:

  • A revamped Photographer of the Year competition put together to encourage creativity
  • A series of Creative Challenge evenings to further inspire our creativity and encourage us all try something different. Keep an eye on the club programme for additional details.
  • Regular opportunities for members to share some of their favourite images with other club members

As in previous seasons we're including a series of sessions on zoom allowing us to benefit from high quality speakers from further afield. This also provides an opportunity for members who are unable to attend WPS  meetings in person to join as online members at a reduced membership fee.

We have a great series of photo walks planned throughout the season. These provide an excellent opportunity to get to know other club members as well as to capture some great images in a wide range of different locations. Take a look at the programme for details.

The Portraiture and Monochrome special intertest groups that began last season are going strong and continuing on into this new season.

And new for this season is the Develop Your Photography ZOOM based group designed for WPS Members that want to develop their photography techniques - to capture the image that they see, organise their images and then digitally edit them to meet their artistic vision.

You can read more about the groups by clicking the links above.
